At the Relais Sant’Uffizio you can choose to celebrate your big day with a romantic ceremony in the park, immersed in an authentic rural setting as far as the eye can see, or in the nearby church of San Vittore, recently restored and within walking distance.
The Relais Sant’Uffizio can host large receptions for up to 170 people or more intimate ceremonies, with customisable spaces and arrangements that can easily be adapted to all kinds of needs: a cocktail by the pool can be followed by a dinner served in the refined ‘Glicine’ room and an evocative cake cutting ceremony in the romantic Italianate garden.
Celebration with religious rite
The pretty eighteenth-century Romanesque church of San Vittore, patron saint of Cioccaro, is an intimate venue steeped in history. Inside, it houses Baroque-style decorations and Old Master paintings by Moncalvo commissioned by local noble families in the seventeenth century.
Erected and consecrated in the second half of the eighteenth century, this small parish church was entirely restored in 2004 and is now the ideal venue for celebrating an intimate and romantic wedding ceremony amidst hills, castles, farmsteads and picturesque country villages. Located just 300 metres from the Relais Sant’Uffizio, the church is within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Today, thanks to a resolution of the Municipality of Penango, the Relais Sant’Uffizio is authorised to broaden its offer of excellent services reserved for newlyweds: it has become a “Casa Comunale” authorised to celebrate weddings with an official civil rite in the presence of the Mayor.
The enchanting private deconsecrated chapel in the property – with capacity for up to 30 people – was once a country church where the monks of the monastery and the farmers of the area celebrated their services and gathered in prayer, and today it provides an intimate and exclusive atmosphere for an unforgettable wedding.
